Inspiration Point Grass Conversion

Inspiration Point Park DENVER, CO

Fall has arrived at Inspiration Point Park, overlooking the Clear Creek Valley in the far northwest corner of Denver. This season sees a new stand of upland prairie grasses in an area that was bluegrass last spring. StudioCPG worked with Denver Parks and TP Enterprises to expand the area of remnant prairie on the north facing slope up to the loop trail on top of the bluff. These grasses create a contiguous natural area while supporting the many dog-walking park users with low-growing species. Adjustments made to the existing irrigation system will allow irrigation to be phased out a few seasons, reducing water use in the park.
