Water Quality at the Carla Madison Recreation Center

Green Infrastructure at the Carla Madison Recreation Center cleans stormwater from the parking lot, dog park, roof, and adjacent roadway. StudioCPG designed plantings that are essential to the function of these water quality planters. The matrix of rhizomatous plants includes native grasses and sedges. These plants thrive in a wide range of conditions from inundation to drought. We chose them for their strong root systems that absorb pollution and aerate the soil.
