DENVER COMPLETE STREETS DESIGN GUIDELINES
Denver, Colorado
StudioCPG collaborated with a multi-disciplinary team to create the Complete Streets Design Guidelines for the City and County of Denver.
Thornton, Colorado
StudioCPG has been contracted twice by City of Thornton to update – as required – Parks and Open Space Master Plan, which establishes goals, objectives, recommendations and implementation strategies for the planning and development of new parks, recreation facilities/programs, trail and bike facilities, and open space throughout the city.
The updates respond to system-wide improvements or issues that have emerged since the original plan was drafted. Revisions include detailed analysis of any changes in levels of service due to population growth, changes in demographics, ward redistricting, the distribution of facilities throughout the city, public sentiment regarding missing links of major trail corridors, and suggestions for specialized facilities based on emerging trends.
The plan presents an assessment of needs and specific plan proposals for parks, trails, and open space, with an emphasis on short-term actions that can be implemented within the next five years, as well as actions that may be undertaken over a longer term planning horizon. The plan benefits from the active participation of Thornton staff from a variety of departments, as well as extensive public outreach effort that included the Park and Open Space Advisory Committee and City of Thornton residents.
