Phase Two of the Soda Springs Park is one component of an overall effort on the part of the Town of Manitou Springs and the Parks & Recreation Advisory Board to improve a unique and historic community asset. Prior experience working with the Manitou Springs community on the Historic Preservation Design Guidelines provides us with a foundation of local knowledge and historic framework to guide the consultant team in refining park improvements and developing construction documents and specifications that are consistent with the Soda Springs Master Plan (2007).
StudioCPG has focused design improvements on finding a balance between three competing factors:
While the initial contract was for Phase 2 park improvements, the scope expanded to include Phase 3 improvements as well. Construction is anticipated to begin in Summer 2013.
