StudioCPG was contacted by the City and County of Denver in partnership with SGA-USA Denver Cultural Center and JFA Associates, to prepare a cherry tree planting design for Green Valley Ranch Town Center Park, in celebration of the 100 year anniversary of the first cherry tree gifted by Japan to the United States in 1912, planted at the Tidal Basin in Washington D.C..
StudioCPG is currently preparing a planting design that concentrates the cherry tree plantings around the park’s lake that works with the sites steep slopes and takes advantage of the great mountain views. The irrigation and landscape in this area is also being redesign to best reflect the cherry tree planting. The planting plan is designed to be implemented over the next five years.
