Blue Grass Conversion
Denver, Colorado
StudioCPG developed a protocol for Denver Parks converting bluegrass to alternative turf and cover types.
Denver, Colorado
Redevelopment of the flood control function at La Lomita Park, formerly Asbury Tejon Park, will improve regional water quality and expand local recreation opportunities at the park. StudioCPG developed site grading and drainage concepts that incorporate Water Quality Best Management Practices (BMP’s) into what had been a simple, peak reduction flood control facility.
The new playground incorporates Nature Play concepts into the design and serves a wider range of ages than present day facilities. The playground design balances traditional playground equipment with Nature Play elements including logs, rocks, boulders, water, trees and plantings that create likable features that engage the water directly.
