Starting in 1994, the City of Manitou Springs began to draft design guidelines for their Historic District, which is nestled into the steep foothills beneath Pike’s Peak.
Trinidad Historic Museum

StudioCPG was contracted by the Colorado Historic Society to provide on-call landscape architecture services at Trinidad Historic Museum.
The Trinidad Historic Museum occupies a hillside in the Trinidad Historic District. This museum features several attractions including, the Adobe Baca House and Kitchen Garden, Bloom Mansion and Heritage Gardens and traditional Trinidad brick courtyards and walkways.
StudioCPG prepared a plan that resolved existing drainage problems at the main brick courtyard, redesigned an existing ramp to comply with ADA standards, and added security lighting throughout the site. Site drainage, accessibility, and lighting improvements were being designed with minimal construction impacts and maximum respect for the historic components of the site.
